Preserve, promote, and practice the art of Square and Round Dancing.
Provide opportunities for regular low impact exercise through Square and Round Dance.
Instill a spirit of camaraderie among fellow Square Dancers of all ages, both inside and outside the Square Dance venue.
The Martinez Swingers host seven weekend Party Dances (aka 'Hoedowns') each year, inviting dancers and members of the over 30 Bay Area Square Dance Clubs to dance with us!
Our Party Dance themes typically include one with Concord's own Ghost Riders Square Dance Band (live music), two for Advanced Dancers, two for Plus Dancers, and two specifically for Newer Dancers as they progress to dancing the Plus Program.
We hold Square Dance Workshops for Club Members twice most weeks from 7:00 to 9:30pm.
The Advanced Program meets Tuesday evenings at Pacheco Community Center.
The Plus Program meets Wednesday evenings at John Swett Elementary (September - May) or Pacheco Community Center (June - August).
Visitors are welcome!
